Surgical/Medical Retina Partner Opportunity – Independent, Established Jacksonville, FL Practice
Due to continued growth, Clay Eye is seeking a second surgical/medical retina specialist. The new associate can expect to be busy and successful based on current demand. We welcome interest from residents, fellows and practicing ophthalmologists. We are a leading eye care provider in Northeast Florida with multiple offices, two ASCs and 17 eye care providers. Retina surgeries are done in our well-equipped ASCs with retina-trained surgical technicians.
The new associate will have the full support of the entire organization. The practice is committed to helping each new associate achieve professional and personal success. The new associate will be hired full-time with the objective of making partner, but those interested in part-time and non-partnership track opportunities are welcome to apply as well. The practice was established in 1977 and is not affiliated with private equity. We are a successful, independent private practice. This is a full partnership track offering, with the option for complete buy-in to all aspects of the practice including ASC, optical and real estate.
The new associate will enjoy a large internal and external referral base. The work week will consist of 3.5–4 days in clinic and 1–1.5 days in the OR. Anticipated clinic volume would be 20–25 patients per half day. A new associate can expect to do 4–6 retina cases a week in their first year. The new retina associate will have the option to perform cataract surgery, if desired. The clinics are fully equipped for both anterior segment and retina specialists. We have a fully integrated EHR with both clinical and practice management components. Physicians have full tech and scribe support in clinic. Practice call is shared among all the ophthalmologists within the group and is anticipated to be in one in ten weeks. There is no hospital call.
Jacksonville is a wonderful community along the St. Johns River and beautiful Atlantic Coast. The city is thriving and growing; with beautiful weather, an excellent airport and numerous recreational activities. There are many resort areas within easy driving distance as well. Physicians in the practice enjoy many housing opportunities with top-rated public and private schools. It is a diverse community, and all will feel welcome living here.
