Primary Care Internal Medicine Academic Opportunity- Poughkeepsie, NY- 75 minutes North of New York City
Affiliated with Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York, Northwell is seeking a board certified Internal Medicine Physician to work with our Internal Medicine residents in conjunction with our busy and growing practice. In this role you will work with the Program Director to develop and implement continuing medical education. This opportunity is for someone that is passionate about supervising, educating, mentoring, and evaluating internal medicine residents.
Our employed outpatient practices utilize our hospitalist program for in-patient admissions. Our physicians work in a respectful and collegial environment with excellent work life balance. Located on the banks of the scenic Hudson River, Vassar Brothers Medical Center has a brand new 696,000-square-foot, eight-level inpatient pavilion with 264 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms. You’ll partner with skilled multidisciplinary staff to manage acute and chronic conditions while promoting wellness across an entire panel of patients.
You’ll also enjoy working in a fully outpatient setting with a stateoftheart, systemwide integrated electronic health record, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across hospitals and practice sites.

Job Requirements:
- MD or DO with NY State License and Federal DEA
- Have successfully completed Internal Medicine and be Board Certified or Board Eligible.
- Off-hour coverage – Shared among multiple providers, phone-calls only, with nurse triage

Salary Range: $285,000 - $325,000, commensurate or relative to experience.
