Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon – Beaver County and Pittsburgh, PA

Allegheny Health Network’s Department of Orthopaedics is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon to join our academic practice in Southwestern Pennsylvania, with a planned start in the summer of 2027.
This is a newly created position built around AHN Beaver Hospital – Heritage Valley, which joined the Network in 2026 and serves Beaver County and the surrounding communities approximately 30 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. Roughly 80% of clinical time, both office and operative, will be based at Beaver, building a community spine practice with an established referral base and dedicated block time. The remaining 20% will be at Allegheny General Hospital, our quaternary care and Level I trauma center, where the surgeon will manage complex, revision, deformity, tumor, and trauma cases alongside the rest of the spine division.
Call is primarily general orthopaedic call at Beaver, with 2–3 days per month of spine call at Allegheny General covering Level I trauma and quaternary referrals.
The surgeon will be a full member of our academic practice, teaching orthopaedic residents and spine fellows, and participating in research and quality initiatives with the support of the Network’s research infrastructure.

Job Qualifications
- Completion of an ACGME-approved Orthopaedic Surgery residency and completion of an orthopaedic spine surgery fellowship
- Board Eligible / Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
- Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania prior to employment

About our Department of Orthopaedics
AHN’s Department of Orthopaedics currently staffs over 55 Orthopaedic Surgeons, 16 Primary Care Sports Medicine Physicians, 6 Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physicians, 74 Advanced Practice Providers, 112 Physical Therapists, 10 Physical Therapy Assistants, 20 Occupational Therapists, 10 Speech Therapists, and 77 Athletic Trainers. There are a multitude of Orthopaedic clinics in the city of Pittsburgh and in the surrounding suburbs. Clinics will be held in these various outpatient centers with dedicated radiology and DME staff.
The Orthopaedic Institute has a quaternary care facility within Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, that includes a Level I trauma center, and a Level II trauma center located at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville, PA.
