OB/GYN Program Director, Baton Rouge, LA
Lead a 4 year OB/GYN residency program in Baton Rouge while maintaining a meaningful clinical practice. This role combines program leadership with clinical oversight and offers an established residency infrastructure, strong board outcomes, and comprehensive subspecialty support.
Position Highlights
- Residency Program: 16 residents across 4 classes
- Structure: Approximately 50% program leadership and 50% clinical oversight
- Residency Infrastructure: Established program with strong board outcomes
- Subspecialty Support: MFM, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology, and REI
- Delivery Volume: Approximately 80 to 100 births per month
Schedule & Clinical Responsibilities
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Leadership Responsibilities: Program oversight, administrative responsibilities, clinical rotation oversight, and resident call schedule management
- Clinical Practice: OR, L&D coverage, and resident clinic
- Practice Flexibility: Future option to incorporate a private practice component if desired
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is determined by training and experience, with a Program Director administrative stipend and additional earning potential through productivity and clinical performance. Candidate Requirements
- OB/GYN physician with the experience and leadership presence to serve as Residency Program Director
- Experience with ACGME accreditation compliance, curriculum development, and Clinical Competency Committee processes
- Ability to recruit and engage faculty while supporting resident wellness, performance, and professional growth
- Strong clinical skills across L&D, OR, and ambulatory women's health
- Interest in teaching and physician education
