Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) invites a skilled and compassionate BC/BE Neonatologist to join our Faculty Practice at HMH JFK University Medical Center. This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of a collegial team in a supportive environment, working with outstanding colleagues and administrative leaders. As a key member of our Level II NICU, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to sick newborns and premature infants while contributing to our academic mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive medical evaluation and treatment for critically ill and premature infants in the neonatal ICU.
- Attend high-risk deliveries and perform antenatal consultations as requested by the obstetrics team.
- Contribute to our academic mission by training and educating medical students and residents.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
- Maintain clear communication and provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Participate in an equitable, in-house call schedule (12-24 hour shifts).
- This role offers significant opportunities for career advancement, including the potential for an academic appointment with the Hackensack School of Medicine and opportunities to provide care at the K.Hovnanian Children’s Hospital NICU.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology
- Hold or be eligible for an active medical license in the State of New Jersey
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The minimum base salary for this position is $233,416. The posted rate of pay in this job posting is a reasonable good-faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package.

- Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in relevant skills and competencies.
- Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.
- Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the specialty and/or sub-specialty.
- Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
