Medical Malpractice Attorney
Slater & Zurz, LLP is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented medical malpractice attorney to join the firm. The ideal candidate should have experience handling a large, active docket of both pre-litigation and litigation medical malpractice files. The ideal candidate will have previous exposure to hospital, physician and geriatric cases. Experience taking depositions of medical professionals is a must. First chair trial experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and work up assigned cases, including pre-suit claim investigation, settlement negotiations, lien resolution, preparing pleadings, motion practice, research and writing, discovery, attendance at court conferences and hearings, litigating cases to verdict, etc.
- Work with and support teams within the firm.
- Maintain communication and positive relationships with clients.
- Supervise support staff.
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice in Ohio.
- Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in medical malpractice.
- Excellent research, writing, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with others and contribute to a positive work environment to advance firm goals.
