This role supports multidisciplinary teams in delivering withdrawal management and stabilization services while ensuring alignment with provincial standards, organizational policies, and funding requirements.
The Manager provides leadership and support to nursing teams, case workers, supervisors, and client-facing staff, fostering a culture grounded in professionalism, accountability, collaboration, and psychological safety. Responsibilities include staff development, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and strengthening communication and operational consistency across the program.
This role also oversees documentation, reporting, compliance, and quality assurance processes, ensuring adherence to professional and regulatory standards. The Medical Detox Manager works collaboratively with physicians, hospitals, EMS, Recovery Alberta, Indigenous partners, and community organizations to support continuity of care and effective transitions into treatment, housing, and recovery supports.
The Ideal Candidate

You hold an active and unrestricted Alberta license as either a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), along with leadership experience within a clinical or healthcare setting. Experience in medical detox, addictions, withdrawal management, mental health, or related community-based healthcare environments is required.
You are a collaborative and visible leader with strong communication and relationship-building skills and the ability to foster trust across clinical teams and community partners. You lead with emotional intelligence, professionalism, and cultural humility, and are comfortable balancing operational leadership, compliance, quality assurance, and crisis response within a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with Indigenous communities, integrated recovery models, housing services, or trauma-informed environments will be considered strong assets.
