Maintenance Technician
Job Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM
Pay: Competitive pay based on experience
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our client's manufacturing team on 2nd shift in Mechanic Falls, Maine. This individual will independently maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment with moderate complexity while supporting efficient production operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, industrial maintenance experience, and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues quickly and safely.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance and routine equipment repairs independently
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC systems
Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and restore operations quickly
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications
Perform tooling changeovers on production equipment while ensuring products meet specifications
Implement programs to minimize machine downtime and production changeovers
Use machine shop tools to fabricate parts and complete repairs
Perform additional duties as assigned by management in support of business goals
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience
Working knowledge of building electrical systems and industrial equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC systems
Ability to interpret technical instructions, diagrams, and schematics
Computer skills including Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
Basic machinist experience preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Must be able to climb ladders, bend, crouch, and work in confined or awkward spaces
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
