- Manager, Health Information Management - Medical Records (Must relocate to O'ahu Hawaii)
Description
Oversees all aspects of The Queen’s Health System’s (QHS) patient records and protected health information, including medical record tracking, transcription, analysis, release of information, vital statistics, and scanning/indexing.
Under the direction of the Director, provides leadership, management, and evaluation of Health Information Management (HIM) operations managers and staff.
Serves as an organizational subject matter expert on medical records, providing guidance and recommending actions in accordance with industry standards and QHS policies and procedures.
Leads document management initiatives, including oversight of patient care forms, implementation and transition support for new providers and clinics, expansion of electronic forms and e-signature solutions, and management of the organization’s forms inventory.
Ensures achievement of departmental goals and objectives while optimizing the effective use of human and material resources.
Collaborates and coordinates with departments across the organization to support operational efficiency and organizational objectives.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
A. Education, Certification, and Licensure
Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a related field.
Current certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
B. Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Health Information Management, preferably within a similar organizational setting.
At least two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals across all levels of the organization.
