Provide pediatric general surgery coverage one weekend per month with scheduling flexibility and a full spectrum of pediatric surgical cases in a high-acuity hospital setting.

Practice & Cases

• Perform the full range of pediatric general surgery procedures
• Care for more than 1,100 pediatric surgical cases annually
• Collaborate with four pediatric surgeons and dedicated inpatient and outpatient advanced practice providers
• Manage pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings

Schedule

• One 4-5 day coverage block per month
• Arrive Thursday evening and depart Monday morning
• 24-hour pager call coverage
• 30-minute response time required

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Surgery
• Active Illinois medical license or active Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Letter of Qualification
• BLS, PALS, DEA, and Illinois CSR required

Logistics

• Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage are provided
• Travel accommodations are coordinated for each coverage block
