Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician in Fort Worth, Texas - Block Scheduling, Broad Case Mix

Provide adult cardiac and thoracic surgery coverage in planned 1-2 week blocks with a broad operative scope and dedicated surgical support.

Highlights

• Coverage approximately 1-2 weeks every other month
• High-volume procedural practice
• Both cardiac and thoracic surgery
• Planned PRN blocks for physician time off

Practice & Cases

• Inpatient adult cardiothoracic surgery with clinic, rounding, and consult responsibilities
• Cases include CABG, complex valve, aortic, TAVR, ECMO, and robotic thoracic surgery
• Dedicated cardiac operating room team and cardiothoracic anesthesia coverage
• Full-time Physician Assistant support

Schedule

• Weekday operating room, clinic, rounding, and consultation coverage
• Approximately 1-2 weeks every other month
• 24-hour call during assigned coverage blocks
• Weekend rounding and emergency operating room availability as needed

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active Texas medical license required
• Must be able to provide both cardiac and thoracic surgical coverage
