Description
Tulane University School of Medicine Department of Surgery is currently seeking a highly qualified Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at one of its affiliated programs in the Southern Gulf Region.
The program has experienced clinical volume expansion and has additional growth opportunities. The successful candidate should be a junior to mid-career level surgeon and would meet the requirements for appointment as an Associate Professor at the medical school.
The ideal candidate should be proficient in various aspects of adult cardiothoracic surgery and committed to clinical quality, patient safety, and multi-disciplinary collaboration. S/he must have formal training and experience in mitral valve repair, complex valve surgery, aortic surgery, coronary artery bypass grafting, mechanical circulatory support, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and temporarily interested in growing clinical expertise in at least one of these areas.
This position will include clinical care via face to face and virtual modalities, supervising surgical residents, and participation in the academic activities of the section and quality improvement programs of Department of Surgery.
