The Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) now has 8 hospitals across Australia and is the largest privately owned network of Specialist hospitals in the country. Offering a truly collaborative environment, you will work inthe mostcomprehensivereferral clinicin the country, whilst having the opportunity to draw on the knowledge and experience from amongst the extensive network of SASH specialists, assisting you to achieve the best results for your patients.Thehospital boastsin-house laboratory facilities, pathology, a 128 slice CT, endoscopy, laparoscopy, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, 1.5T MRI, ultrasound, dialysis, a linear accelerator with stereotactic capability and ultrasound dedicated for locoregional techniques. Our service is a leading provider of congenital interventions in Australia with 50+ interventions in 2025 with regular performance of balloon pulmonary valvuloplasty, patent ductus arteriosus occlusion and pacemaker implantation (epicardial and transvenous). Non-cardiac interventions including IHPSS percutaneous transcatheter coil embolization and intravascular neoplasia biopsy have also been performed on service.
Our Cardio suite includes:
- Philips ultrasound Epiq series CVX 3D nSight plus
- Vivid IQ standard portable
- Philips transesophageal probes adult and pediatric (X8-2t, S7-3t)
- LifePak 15
- 2 x Vet BP doppler units
Just a few of the specialist teams you will work collaboratively with on-site include;surgery, medical and radiation oncology, internal medicine, ophthalmology, neurology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, avian and exotics, emergency and critical care and sports medicine and rehabilitation

Requirements
The Cardiology Specialist Position:
We are currently looking for 2 enthusiastic and dedicated Cardiology Specialists to join Dr Arianne Fabella (ACVIM) and Dr Phil Brain (FANZCVS) in our now established and busy cardiology department. You will be further supported by our Cardiology specific Intern(s), Rotating Interns, dedicated cardiology nurses and fabulous supporting team members across the clinic. We have recently invested in major upgrades across the hospital with brand new dedicated specialist units including interventional radiology, full service in-house lab, Ultrasound, CT scanner, high- field MRI, digital radiography, Linear accelerator, laparoscopy, endoscopy, and much more.
To be considered for this position, you will:

- Be eligible to register as a veterinarian in Australia (NSW) and be qualified as a specialist in Cardiologist being a Fellow (ANZCVS) or Diplomate (ACVIM, ECVIM)
- Candidates who have completed an approved training program but are yet to finalise exams are also strongly encouraged to apply! Our Cardiology team would love to help you prepare in the lead up to your exams!
