Description
Take Over an Established, Turnkey Non-Invasive Cardiology Practice
Opportunity to Own a Profitable, Fully Staffed Practice on Day One
Greater Sacramento Region El Dorado Hills / Folsom, California
The Opportunity
An opportunity is available for a board-certified or board-eligible cardiologist to step directly into ownership of a thriving, fully established non-invasive cardiology practice in one of Northern California’s most desirable and fastest-growing communities. This is not an associate position and not a start-up. It is the chance to acquire a turnkey practice with an experienced clinical and administrative team already in place, an active and loyal patient base, a mature referral network, and diagnostic infrastructure ready on day one.
The founding physician built the practice from the ground up beginning in 2015 and is now planning to retire and relocate. He is committed to a smooth, structured transition and will remain through an agreed transition period to personally introduce the incoming owner to referring providers, patients, and staff. An established management services organization (MSO) is already in place to continue handling HR, payroll, and practice management, so the administrative infrastructure carries over intact. For the right physician, this is a chance to bypass years of building a panel from scratch and to own a profitable, established practice on the first day of ownership.
Ideal for: a physician who wants the autonomy, upside, and long-term wealth-building of practice ownership without the risk and slow ramp of a de novo practice; a regional group seeking an established satellite location and patient panel; or an entrepreneurial cardiologist ready to grow an already-successful platform.
Compensation & Earning Potential
As the owner-operator, the incoming cardiologist captures both clinical compensation and the profit of the business. Independent, fair-market compensation analysis, drawn from 2025 national cardiology surveys including MGMA data places the market clinical compensation for the physician performing this practice’s clinical work at approximately $567,000 per year, consistent with prevailing Northern California non-invasive cardiology ranges of roughly $500,000 to $580,000.
Beyond clinical compensation, the owner also retains the net cash flow of the practice above that salary. The current owner works roughly 77% of a full-time schedule and takes approximately 12 weeks off per year, so a physician working a fuller schedule, together with the continued ramp of the practice’s physician assistant, represents meaningful additional upside not yet captured in current results. Management projects the practice will exceed $1.5 million in gross revenue in the current year.
Note: Compensation figures reflect fair-market survey benchmarks and the practice’s historical performance. They are illustrative of earning potential and are not a guarantee of future results. Full financial detail is available to qualified, credentialed candidates upon execution of a confidentiality agreement.

Why This Practice Stands Out
Turnkey from day one. Established panel, trained staff, active referral relationships, and diagnostic equipment already in place, with no ramp from zero.
Exceptional market demographics. The service area is older, growing, and unusually affluent, a strong long-term driver of cardiovascular demand and favorable payer quality.
Commercial-weighted payer mix. Roughly half of patients carry commercial / managed-care coverage, which reimburses well above Medicare fee schedules.
Diagnostic revenue engine. In-house echocardiography and stress testing keep high-value diagnostic services, and their revenue, within the practice.
Built-in growth runway. Current owner works part-time; a full-time physician and the PA’s continued ramp offer clear, unforced upside.
Back-office already handled. An established management services organization (MSO) is in place to continue handling HR, payroll, and day-to-day practice management, letting the physician focus on patient care rather than administration.
Real estate optionality. The building is available to purchase in addition to the practice, giving the buyer the option to own the real estate and build long-term equity, or to continue leasing on the existing terms.
A committed, structured handoff. The founding physician will personally introduce the buyer to referral sources and patients to protect continuity and goodwill.
