Cascade Hernia & Surgical Solutions at Meridian Surgery Center is a physician-led, Medicare-certified and accredited ambulatory surgery facility located in Puyallup, Washington.

Originally established in 2001, Meridian Surgery Center has continued to expand to meet the needs of physicians and the growing East Pierce County community. The facility became a full, free-standing outpatient surgery center in 2011 and expanded again in 2024 with the addition of a new Class C operating suite and additional clinic space.

Under the medical direction of Robert C. Wright, MD, FACS, Meridian Surgery Center welcomes board-certified surgeons across multiple specialties and offers opportunities for both independent physicians and surgeons affiliated with larger health systems.

The center currently has opportunities for physicians in specialties including general surgery, breast surgery, plastic surgery, ENT, gynecology, and retina, with additional specialties anticipated as the center continues to grow.

Meridian Surgery Center can provide operating room access, clinical support, sterile processing, recovery services, and clinic space to support established practices as well as physicians and health systems looking to expand surgical capacity or establish a presence in the growing East Pierce County market.

Independent and health-system-affiliated surgeons are welcome to inquire about privileges, block time, and practice opportunities.

Company History

2001: Meridian Surgery Center established.
2011: Expanded into a full, free-standing ambulatory surgery facility in the hospital district of Pierce County.
2019: Granted a Washington State Certificate of Need.
2024: Expanded with a newly constructed Class C operating suite and additional clinic space.
Today: Medicare-certified and accredited, with EPIC electronic medical records and expanding surgical services across multiple specialties.
