Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Assistant/Associate Professor
Description
The UMKC School of Dentistry seeks a full-time, 100% FTE faculty member in the Section of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology within the Department of Oral Pathology, Radiology, and Medicine. This is a ranked position that may be appointed as either tenure-track or ranked non–tenure track at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, with rank, track, and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. As part of the School, the Division of Dental Hygiene delivers the state’s only baccalaureate dental hygiene program, preparing graduates for clinical practice, public health, education, and community-based care.
The successful candidate will provide didactic and clinical instruction in oral and maxillofacial radiology for predoctoral dental (DDS) students and dental hygiene students, with limited instructional involvement in advanced education residency programs as appropriate. Responsibilities include teaching principles of radiology, radiographic interpretation, and supervising students in clinical settings to ensure patient safety and compliance with accreditation standards.
Opportunities for faculty practice participation (up to one day per week) may be available, consistent with School policy.
