Position Summary
The physician will provide outstanding clinical care, advance research within the Infectious Diseases Division, and actively contribute to teaching in our academic programs. The Director of Infectious Disease Research will set the strategic vision and provide leadership for all research activities within the division. This role includes overseeing ongoing studies, fostering innovative research initiatives, and supporting grant-funded projects across translational and clinical domains.
Key Responsibilities
Shape and expand the division’s research strategy
Direct and oversee clinical trials and translational research
Foster interdisciplinary collaborations across departments and external institutions to strengthen research partnerships
Mentor and develop faculty, fellows, and research staff, promoting career growth and scholarly excellence
Guide grant development and stewardship, including strategy, submission, and post-award management
Integrate research with clinical and educational missions
Contribute to clinical care within the Infectious Diseases Division
Requirements
Qualifications
Board Certification in Infectious Diseases
Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Infectious Diseases
Proven academic productivity, including peer-reviewed publications
Experience in leading or contributing to grant-funded research projects
Demonstrated leadership skills within academic or research environments
Eligibility for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level
