The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Medicine, Department of Surgery is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor to join the Division of Pediatric Surgery. This is a full-time, position. Faculty rank is commensurate with experience and credentials. The primary location is at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.  St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a secondary patient care location.

Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., treats children through community programs, regional clinics and a 255-bed state-of-the-art hospital. Le Bonheur serves as a primary teaching affiliate for the University Tennessee Health Science Center and trains more than 350 pediatricians and specialists each year. Nationally recognized, Le Bonheur is ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a Best Children’s Hospital. 

The Pediatric Surgery Division serves as the primary teaching faculty for an ACGME approved pediatric surgery fellowship and a pediatric surgical critical care fellowship. 

Responsibilities include providing clinical services and performing varied surgical cases. Additionally, this position will provide teaching and other didactic educational services to medical students, residents, and fellows.  All faculty are also encouraged to participate in research.

Candidates must have completed an accredited general residency program, and an accredited pediatric surgery fellowship.  Candidates should be Board-Eligible/Board-Certified in General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery, and committed to providing quality clinical care, student/resident teaching, and research. Candidates who are also Board-Eligible/Board-Certified in Critical Care Medicine are preferred.
