Cardiothoracic Surgical First Assist Physician Assistant

St. Rose Dominican Hospitals in the Las Vegas and Henderson markets are working to solidify our cardiovascular and thoracic programs with the goal of becoming the premier CVT program in Southern Nevada and surrounding areas. We are looking for highly qualified Cardiothoracic Surgical First Assist Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join us as we build the most comprehensive heart program in this region. Our combined Las Vegas-area hospitals perform an average of over 550 cardiac, 150 Thoracic and 350 vascular procedures per year. With over 3,250 annual Cath Lab procedures and 1,000+ EP procedures, St Rose has already established itself as the epicenter of high quality care. The opportunity:

• Join our highly skilled team of CVT surgeons and staff at our Heart and Vascular Institute at St. Rose Dominican Hospitals of Las Vegas
• Provide cardiothoracic medical services to patients, including:
  • Surgical assisting
  • Inpatient management
  • Preoperative and postoperative evaluations
  • Staff and patient education
  • Shared surgical and medical call

Our requirements:

• Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of 3 years of CVT surgical first assisting and/or CVT critical care experience
• Must possess or obtain an unrestricted Nevada NP or PA license
• Critical thinking and computer skills are essential
• NP Only:
  • Master’s degree in Nursing NP
  • ANCC or AANP certification required
  • RNFA certification required (will consider one year of FA in lieu of certification)
• PA Only:
  • Associates Degree-Must be a graduate form a program approved by the ARC-PA
  • NCCPA certification required
  • Surgical First Assist certification also required
• Las Vegas-area (local) applicants strongly preferred; we will consider out-of-state applicants
