Description
The Department of Surgery at Brown University and Brown University Health is recruiting for the dual role of Pediatric Surgeon-in-Chief and Division Chief of Pediatric Surgery. The Division of Pediatric Surgery is based out of Hasbro Children’s Hospital and works closely with faculty in other pediatric surgical subspecialties to provide multidisciplinary pediatric surgical care across the hospitals in the Brown University Health system and at Women and Infants’ Hospital.
Salary Range: $500-780k

Requirements
Minimum requirements include board certification in general surgery and special qualifications in pediatric surgery with a strong clinical background in surgical diseases of infants, children and young adults, excellence in patient care and teaching, and commitment to scholarly participation in research and educational programs. Must meet requirements for academic appointment at the Associate Professor or Full Professor rank in the Clinician Scholar, Research Scholar or Teaching Scholar Track at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University to include an established record of scholarly achievements and publications with a national or international reputation. Highly desirable attributes include evidence of leadership in pediatric surgery and any of its special areas, involvement in national or international committees and relevant professional societies, and a track record of an administrative role at a major medical institution. Candidates should address how they would contribute to the research and/or teaching missions of our diverse and inclusive university community.
