Physician/Chief of Clinical Informatics Operations (CCIO)

Reporting to the VHA Chief Medical Informatics Officer, this executive position oversees much of the VHA central office clinical-informatics portfolio to deliver process improvements and tooling that advance the enterprise standard of care and the experience of clinicians and veterans. This position functions within the enterprise clinical informatics unit and partners with the EHR modernization unit that has responsibility over the new commercial EHR. This position oversees the large federal and contracted workforce that delivers enterprise clinical process standardization and re-engineering, enterprise governance of EHR configurations, the enterprise Field Health Informatics Program and related community of practice, and the project management organization for managing most enterprise informatics work. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated achievement of results in large and complex clinical informatics programs where one leads through influence as much as organizational position.

This is a virtual position located within the VHA Office of Health Informatics, Clinical Informatics and Data Management Office. This is a virtual/telework position, so the duty location will be TBD and determined by the location of the selectee.
