The Molecular Imaging Innovations Institute (MI3) is recruiting a highly motivated and driven Postdoctoral researcher to join Dr. Vanessa Bellat’s laboratory. The Bellat lab focuses on the design of precision nanocarriers displaying organ-specific targeting and retention properties to improve the safety and efficacy of chemotherapeutic treatments. This position will provide a unique opportunity to train in a stimulating and multidisciplinary environment employing state-of-art preclinical/clinical imaging techniques to develop smart nanomedicine for cancer imaging and treatments. More specifically,the candidate will be in charge of developing a new drug delivery platform for the treatment of lung metastases. Part of the project will consist in investigating the nanocarrier in vivo tissue distribution and identifying the most responsive drug release strategy to enhance the antitumor effect. The applicant will also perform in-depth toxicity studies to ensure the safety of the approach and use multi-omics techniques to explore the molecular and immunogenic pathways triggered by the treatment.
