Maine Veterinary Medical Center (MVMC) is a VECCS level two certified Rarebreed practice that has full in-house laboratory capabilities, a fluoroscopy suite for interventional procedures, a helical 64-slice CT, MRI, respiratory ventilator, in-house telemetric monitoring, ultrasound and endoscopy. MVMC is a multi-specialty hospital offering services in Emergency & Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Radiology, and Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine. Technician Assistant

Maine Veterinary Medical Center in Scarborough, ME

$18.00-$22.00 per hour based on experience

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide general support to the radiology team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care
• Coordinate and communicate with multiple departments to ensure timely and organized diagnostic imaging scheduling
• Support radiology workflows by assisting with diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiographs (x-rays) and CT scans
• Help prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning and ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the radiology department, including exam rooms and imaging suites
• Restock supplies, manage inventory, and assist with laundry to ensure smooth daily operations
• Facilitate patient flow by helping transport patients to and from imaging areas as needed
• Follow hospital protocols for safety, including radiation safety and proper equipment handling

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one year previous experience in a veterinary or animal handling role required
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude
• Able to multi-task
• Able to lift 50 pounds
