Description
Maine Veterinary Medical Center is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Technician Assistant to our Radiology team. At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. As part of our team, you'll work with the latest technology, gain access to state-of-the-art training facilities, and collaborate with a positive team to deliver the highest quality of care to the pet patients we all love.Maine Veterinary Medical Center (MVMC) is a VECCS level two certified Rarebreed practice that has full in-house laboratory capabilities, a fluoroscopy suite for interventional procedures, a helical 64-slice CT, MRI, respiratory ventilator, in-house telemetric monitoring, ultrasound and endoscopy. MVMC is a multi-specialty hospital offering services in Emergency & Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Radiology, and Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine. Technician Assistant
Maine Veterinary Medical Center in Scarborough, ME
$18.00-$22.00 per hour based on experience
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide general support to the radiology team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care
- Coordinate and communicate with multiple departments to ensure timely and organized diagnostic imaging scheduling
- Support radiology workflows by assisting with diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiographs (x-rays) and CT scans
- Help prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning and ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the radiology department, including exam rooms and imaging suites
- Restock supplies, manage inventory, and assist with laundry to ensure smooth daily operations
- Facilitate patient flow by helping transport patients to and from imaging areas as needed
- Follow hospital protocols for safety, including radiation safety and proper equipment handling

REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year previous experience in a veterinary or animal handling role required
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude
- Able to multi-task
- Able to lift 50 pounds
