Description

The Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital Section of Pediatric Surgery, part of the Westchester Medical Center Department of Surgery in Valhalla, NY, seeks a BC/BE pediatric surgeon to join a growing practice of three pediatric surgeons.  Our practice provides a full range of surgical services to children in the Hudson Valley region.  

Requirements

Applicants will be expected to manage all aspects of a busy pediatric surgery practice. You will be part of a growing group of pediatric surgeons and be based in Valhalla, NY, just 35 minutes north of New York City. The successful candidate should have strong academic interests as well as excellent clinical, communication and interpersonal skills.  The candidate should be committed to patient care, general surgery residency training, and medical student education. This is an employed position within our academic group practice with comprehensive benefits and malpractice coverage. Academic rank at New York Medical College and salary will be commensurate with candidate experience and qualifications.

Maria Fareri Children's Hospital is a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), and is the children's hospital for New York's Hudson Valley region and Fairfield County, Connecticut.  Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital was recently recognized in the US. News and World Report 2025-2026 rankings as a Best Children’s Hospital for Pediatric Cancer and #7 Best Children’s Hospital in New York State.  The hospital is home to the region's only pediatric intensive care unit, a Level IV neonatal intensive care unit, as well as the region's only pediatric Level 1 pediatric trauma center, pediatric transplant program, and pediatric cardiac surgery program.
