Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Director to lead our clinical operations and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. Duties:

Provide clinical leadership by developing and implementing medical policies aligned with healthcare standards such as NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
Oversee utilization management processes to optimize patient care while controlling costs, ensuring adherence to FDA regulations and hospital protocols.
Supervise medical staff including physicians, assistants, and other health professionals to promote best practices in patient care and medical records management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations related to EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, and medical terminology accuracy.
Lead clinical research initiatives to support evidence-based practices and innovative treatment approaches in line with clinical development goals.
Collaborate with hospital administration on budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planning to enhance healthcare management efficiency.
Monitor quality metrics such as NCQA standards, HIPAA compliance, and patient satisfaction scores to continuously improve service delivery.
Facilitate training sessions on physiology knowledge, anatomy knowledge, and medical management for staff development.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FDA regulations and healthcare policies affecting clinical operations.

Requirements

• Current DVM license is required.
• Proven experience in hospital or healthcare management with a strong background in clinical leadership roles.
• Extensive knowledge of managed care principles, utilization management, and healthcare policy compliance.
• Demonstrated expertise in EMR/EHR systems implementation and optimization within a clinical setting.
• Prior involvement in clinical research or clinical development projects that advance patient care practices.
• Supervising experience with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and the regulatory landscape including HIPAA and FDA regulations
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives from conception through execution while managing budgets effectively.
