Description
The Department of Radiology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join the Interventional Radiology team. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively.About the Role:
- This is a full-time day shift, salaried, benefited position with no call, and no weekend or holiday responsibility.
- Provide pre- and post-procedural care and perform procedures, including paracentesis, thoracentesis, PleurX catheters, central catheter and port placements, and drain follow-up/exchanges.
- DH Interventional Radiology provides a full range of interventional procedures, from biopsies and drain placements to transcatheter embolization, tumor ablation, and TIPS.
- Work closely with the staff physicians in the Department and with referring physicians to provide appropriate care to patients, including performing history & physical exams, ordering, interpreting, and evaluating laboratory and diagnostic tests, assisting with admitting and discharging of patients, obtaining consent, and providing education to patients regarding plan of care.
- Be involved in teaching and instructing both medical students and residents

The selected candidate will join Dartmouth Health’s 60 radiologists. We are an internationally known Department with a deep history in the field, beginning with acquiring the first clinically x-ray in the United States in 1896. While Dartmouth Health includes many hospitals and clinic sites, this position is based at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, our tertiary care central hub which also serves as the system’s Academic Medical Center. DHMC is the state’s only Level 1 trauma center, a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and is home to a fleet of helicopter and ground-based medical transport services.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Requirements for Nurse Practitioners: RN and APRN currently (or eligible) licensed in NH. Successful completion of an approved NP program and certification required (FNP, ANP or AGNP, ACAGNP all accepted).
- Requirements for Physician Assistant/Associate: Current (or eligible) certification to practice as a Physician Assistant/Associate in the state of New Hampshire. Academic preparation at the Master's level required.
- 2+ years of Advanced Practice procedural experience preferred, although highly motivated new grads with relevant experience will be considered.
