University Health’s Heart and Vascular Institute is actively recruiting for highly skilled and compassionate Interventional Cardiologist to join our dynamic cardiovascular team and help build a nationally recognized leader in cardiovascular care. As the third largest public health system in Texas, University Health is rapidly expanding its cardiovascular services. We provide comprehensive care across San Antonio, with inpatient services anchored at our 700-bed University Hospital. Our facility features six state-of-the-art cath labs, a 24/7 cardiovascular ICU, advanced imaging, and specialized programs for VA ECMO, structural heart, PERT, and limb salvage. Additionally, our outpatient and imaging network continues to grow across multiple San Antonio community locations.
University Health is growing, with two new community hospitals and several outpatient clinics set to open in early 2027. These facilities will feature cardiac catheterization labs, non-invasive imaging, and specialized clinic.
Summary:

- Focus area: Coronary work but a focus on limb salvage, complex endovascular interventions
