Retina Specialist (Medical and/or Surgical)

The Geisinger Eye Institute is seeking a medical and/or surgical Retina Specialist to join our thriving, multidisciplinary team of Ophthalmologists and Optometrists. This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of a well-established practice within one of the nation's most innovative, physician-led healthcare systems.

Practice opportunities are available in Danville and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, with the ability to build and grow a retina program while caring for a diverse and complex patient population. Physicians will also have opportunities to engage in research, resident education, and academic pursuits within a large tertiary referral center.

Our practice:

•  Growing ophthalmology residency at Geisinger gives great opportunity to mentor and teach
•  Highly trained and experienced support and medical staff
•  Extensive diagnosis/treatment tools including OCT/OCAT/ fluorescein and ICG angiography, widefiled imaging, echogrpahy, and photodynamic therapy. 
•  Geisinger owned surgical facilities- on main campus and nearby outpatient surgery center
•  Support from Advance Practitioners
•  Clinics have over 50 exam rooms
•  Shared call (home call)
•  A large referral base from our onsite Optometrists, local Ophthalmologists and physicians in our satellite offices
