Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center's Family Medicine Residency program is seeking a dedicated family medicine physician leader for our Family Medicine Residency Director role in Bangor, Maine. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of family medicine in a supportive, community-focused academic environment.
About the Residency:
- 10-10-10 ACGME-accredited residency program with Osteopathic Recognition
- A full-spectrum family medicine curriculum including excellent inpatient and outpatient experience in both obstetrics and pediatrics, as well as a range of Specialty Clinics and unique elective rotation opportunities.
- Our team consists of 11 faculty family physicians, 1 pediatrician, 1 pharmacist, 1 family nurse practitioner, 2 certified nurse midwives and an integrated behavioral health model led by a psychologist.
- Cooperative relationship with all other GME Programs: ONMM3 and Psychiatry Residencies and Hospice Medicine Fellowship
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Family Medicine (ABFM or AOBFP)
- Eligible for a Maine medical license
- At least 5 years of faculty experience required, and GME program leadership experience as an Associate Program Director preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Desire to lead a multidisciplinary team
