Electrophysiology Cardiologist (Full-Time & PRN Available)

We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Electrophysiology Cardiologist to join our growing cardiovascular program. Both full-time and PRN opportunities are available. This position offers a balanced blend of procedural electrophysiology, outpatient clinic, and shared inpatient cardiology coverage within a supportive, collegial team structure.
Practice Highlights:
- 2 dedicated procedural EP days per week
- 2 outpatient clinic days per week
- Inpatient general cardiology coverage (rotating call schedule)
- Community hospital-based electrophysiology program
- EPIC EMR system
- M*Modal dictation with anticipated AI-enabled scribe support
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias and conduction disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Perform electrophysiology studies and catheter-based ablation procedures appropriate to a community hospital program
- Implant, program, and manage cardiac rhythm devices including pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT devices
- Interpret ECGs, ambulatory monitoring, implantable loop recorders, and intracardiac recordings
- Provide longitudinal outpatient follow-up and continuity of care
- Collaborate closely with general cardiologists, hospitalists, emergency department providers, anesthesia, nursing, and procedural teams
- Participate in shared call coverage to support hospital-based electrophysiology services
- Maintain timely documentation and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards

Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
- Current Medical Doctor (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine.
- Residency and/or Fellowship training within specialty.
Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
- Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Board Certification or Board Eligible.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Preferable experience in performing Watchmans (LAAO) and Pulsed Field Ablations
- Preferable experience and willingness to perform atrial fibrillation ablations.
- Must be comfortable working in a large public/county facility
- Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge in area assigned, and competency in assessment techniques, diagnosis and treatment processes that apply to the assigned medical specialty area
- Must have good interpersonal, verbal and oral communication skills
- Must be self-directed and take initiative to develop and participate in community activities and medical outreach
- Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behavior
