Description
The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Weill Cornell Medicine-New York Presbyterian Medical Center is seeking to recruit a full-time faculty, cardiothoracic surgeon at the Assistant Professor level. Qualified candidates must have completed accredited training in general surgery and thoracic surgery and be certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery is a high-volume program offering the full spectrum of cardiac and thoracic surgical care. Clinical services include coronary artery bypass grafting with multi-arterial techniques; open and minimally invasive valve surgery including robotic-assisted surgery and percutaneous valve therapies; open, hybrid, and endovascular aortic surgery; surgical management of heart failure, including cardiac transplantation, insertion of permanent mechanical devices as well as temporary cardiac and pulmonary support with ECMO; and open, minimally invasive, and robotic-assisted thoracic procedures for benign and malignant diseases of the lung, esophagus, and mediastinum. Endoscopy and interventional bronchoscopy are also an integral component of the practice. Candidates with a track record of academic productivity and a commitment to cardiothoracic surgical training are strongly desired.
