Cardiologist

East Meadow, NY

Salary: $300K/yr with significant Faculty Practice incentive-based revenue

Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC), a 530-bed tertiary care teaching hospital and Level I trauma center, is seeking a Cardiologist to join our active Cardiology Department. Serve a diverse patient population and help improve community health through comprehensive cardiac care.

Key Responsibilities:

•          Provide evaluation, management, and treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease.
•          Read, interpret, and report on all relevant testing modalities.
•          Apply expertise in prevention, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular and congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathies, and vascular disorders.

Required Qualifications:

•          Completion of a 3-year ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency and a 3-year ACGME-accredited Cardiology fellowship.
•          Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiology.
•          Licensure in New York or eligibility for licensure.
•          Strong interpersonal, communication, and professional skills.
•          Noninvasive cardiac imaging skills (echocardiography, stress testing, nuclear cardiology) recommended.
